Worked with more than two dozen clients throughout the country to design innovative programs, establish new partnerships, pursue diverse funding streams, and evaluate success. Focused on food systems work with a variety of sub-specialties, including farm animal welfare, new farmer training, regenerative farming practices, food access, food justice, climate change mitigation, nutrition and public health. Became the leading national expert on USDA grant funding. Maintained long-term clients with recurring requests for support.
  • Interim Executive DirectorMinnesota Food Association (November 2013 – May 2014). Managed financial and human resources during a leadership transition. Oversaw all program development and evaluation, supervised staff, conducted marketing for CSA program, held events for farmers and funders, and worked collaboratively with the board of directors.
  • Program DirectorOrganic Field School at Gardens of Eagan, (March 2012 – April 2014). Led all fundraising, program development, education and outreach efforts for this farm-based nonprofit. Provided supervision and support to incubator farmers.
